Field Crew Technician

Location: San Diego, CA (various job sites)
Reports To: Field Crew Lead
Job Summary
The Field Crew Technician is responsible for executing insulation installation tasks, as well as installing various other materials—including fans, vents, and related equipment—under the direction of the Field Crew Lead. This role involves hands-on work on residential and commercial job sites, including attics and crawl spaces. Candidates must be comfortable working in confined spaces and be aware of potential claustrophobic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Installation Tasks:
Install insulation materials in accordance with project specifications and safety guidelines.
Install additional materials such as fans, vents, and other related products as required by the project.
Safety Compliance:
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and strictly adhere to safety protocols.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to the Field Crew Lead.
Quality Control:
Ensure all installation work is performed with attention to detail and meets company quality standards.
Assist in inspecting completed work to verify compliance with project specifications.
Working in Confined Spaces:
Work in various environments, including attics, crawl spaces, and other confined areas.
Be aware of personal comfort levels regarding confined spaces; notify supervisors if conditions pose health or safety concerns.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other crew members to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
Follow instructions carefully and provide constructive feedback to help improve work processes.
Site Maintenance:
Keep the work area clean and organized at all job sites.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of work sites as needed.
Other Duties as Assigned:
Perform any additional tasks as required to support project completion and maintain operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Previous experience in insulation installation, construction, or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with tools and equipment used in insulation work, as well as for the installation of fans, vents, and similar components.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in outdoor environments as well as confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
Must be comfortable working in areas that may trigger claustrophobia; candidates should assess their ability to work in confined spaces prior to employment.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to follow directions.
Valid driver’s license is preferred.
Commitment to safety and quality in all work performed.
